Time
"How do you make more time?"
I had a co-worker that would always ask me that question. He knows my story, long work hours, three young kids, daily household chores/duties, etc,. and still found time to fit in alone time such as exercising. He would always talk about not having time to exercise saying he needs to make more time.
When people first start off, they see "exercising as a chore." Nobody wants to do chores, they'll put it off until it's necessary. Remember that time you needed a spoon, you look in the drawer and there's none there, they're all dirty, so instead of washing one, you use a fork? Come on, we've all done it. haha. In this case, it is easy to put everything on your list before you start a workout. It's like your body tells your mind that it doesn't want the exertion and work you'd be putting on it.

Exercise doesn't need to be hard at the start. I always recommend starting slow, make it fit into your schedule. Try squeezing a walk into your day. Walk around the block. Do it a few times a week. This might not seem like much but to someone who does not exercise, it's going to make a difference. You will feel the difference. Enjoy the outdoors. Take your family for a walk. Dust off your old roller blades. Start playing Pokemon Go.
Now, can you fit in a 15 min walk in your day? Sounds easy enough, right? In my previous post, I talked about push ups, sit ups and squats, that all could be done in 15 mins as well. In the grand scheme of things, 15 mins is not a lot of time out of your day.
This is where my two motto's come in, "something is better than nothing" and "you'll never regret a workout."
So to answer the question, "how do you make more time?" You simply can't make more time per say, 24 hrs is 24 hrs, you just allocate it differently. Try looking back at your day for your down time moments. moments where you in between your busy times. Those times in your day where your just sitting on the couch flipping through channels and watching random shows to pass time before making dinner. How about that time before breakfast when you sit and check your emails/social media. Are those times when you could be exercising? It's very unlikely, although it can happen, that someone is busy every minute of their day. Managing your time to include exercise will get easier once it stops being a chore and more of a habit or lifestyle, something you want to do, something you like to do. You will make it fit into your schedule, your daily routine.
People, exercising is time consuming, yes, but is it worth it, absolutely! Start off slow, short workouts and go from there. Keep it simple. Make that time. Find what works for you. Make it fit! Let's get it! Good luck!
